Get to know the risk of traffic accidents in Taiwan:
On average, about 10 people die in traffic accidents on a
daily basis.
On average, about 864 people are injured due to traffic
accidents on a daily basis.
On average, about 300 people are permanently disabled
due to traffic accidents on a yearly basis.
One in every 41 people dies because of a traffic accident.
Motorcycle accidents represent the highest traffic death
rate, especially, in the age group of 18-29, which
accounts for 52% of the total.
Last year, Taiwan’s traffic accident death toll was 2,309 people;
motorcycle deaths accounted for 1,316 people; DUI deaths accounted
for 451 people; pedestrians killed in traffic accidents accounted for
276 people; and bicycling deaths accounted for 124 people.
On average, there are about 1.3 million people globally who die in
traffic accidents each year.

(1) Make only two-stage left turns, (2) Keep a safe distance
away from large vehicles and pay attention to wheel
tracking, (3) Keep a safe distance away from large vehicles
and pay attention to blind spots and air flow, (4) Wear a
certified safety helmet, (5) Follow traffic regulations.
Tips for driving safely:
1.Look ahead as far as you can in order to increase safe
distance.
2.Pay attention to the situations on both sides of the vehicle.
3.Look around and pay attention to your surroundings
4.Understand your driving environment in order to reserve a
safe exit path.
5.Use your turning and breaking signals regularly in order to
caution other drivers of your intentions.
6.Pay attention to the movements of large vehicles and be careful
of wheel tracking difference. When turning, use turning
signals and pay close attention to your surroundings.
7.First Law of Traffic Safety: If you can see me, then I can
see you.
8.Second Law of Traffic Safety: Establish the concept of
“safe space”. Never try to do anything that is regarded as
an unsafe driving behavior.
9.Third Law of Traffic Safety: Treat others the way you want
to be treated.
